When will Grower Next Door launch?
We're launching in early 2026 on Vancouver Island. Join the waitlist to be notified when we go live.
What areas do you cover?
We're starting with Vancouver Island, including Victoria, Nanaimo, Courtenay, Campbell River, and surrounding communities. We'll expand to more areas based on demand.
How do I know the food is safe?
All growers create profiles with their location and growing practices. Buyers can message growers directly to ask questions about how food was grown. We encourage transparent communication and community accountability.
Can I sell anything I grow?
You must follow your local municipal laws and regulations regarding the sale of homegrown food. We'll provide clear guidelines on what's allowed when we launch.
How do payments work?
Buyers and sellers arrange payment directly - cash, e-transfer, or whatever works for both of you. We don't handle payments, keeping things simple.
Do I need to deliver?
Nope! Most exchanges happen as porch pickups or arranged meetups. You decide what works best for you when listing your harvest.
What if I just have a few extra tomatoes?
Perfect! Grower Next Door is for anyone with surplus harvest, whether it's 3 tomatoes or 30 pounds of apples. Every bit helps reduce waste.
Can I give away food for free?
Absolutely. You can list items as free, set a price, or mark them as "pay what you can." It's up to you.
